About GradeCalc Pro

GradeCalc Pro started from a small annoyance. Working out a GPA is not hard maths, but doing it by hand at eleven at night, with a transcript open in one tab and a phone calculator in the other, is the kind of task that invites mistakes. Most of the tools already out there wanted an account before they would show a number, or buried the answer under so much clutter that finding it took longer than the arithmetic would have.

So we built the version we wanted. You land on the page, you type your classes in, and the answer is sitting there before you finish. Nothing to sign up for, nothing emailed to you afterwards, no thirty-second wait while something loads. If a student can get their number and close the tab in under a minute, the tool has done its job.

How we handle your information

The calculators run entirely inside your browser. Grades and credit hours you type never leave the device you typed them on, because there is no server here waiting to receive them. What you enter is saved into your own browser storage so a refresh does not cost you your work, and clearing it is one button away. We could not look up your grades even if somebody asked us to.

Where the numbers come from

The point values behind every calculation follow the standard American 4.0 scale that most schools and registrars use, with the common variations available as toggles for schools that count an A+ above 4.0 or add weight for honors and AP work. Grading policies genuinely do differ between districts and universities, which is why we treat every result as a close estimate rather than an official figure. Your transcript is always the final word.
